I appreciate that view but that's not what they said in the survey. Students and staff overwhelmingly said no to the naming or they didn't have an opinion

First I donтАЩt believe thatтАЩs correct but itтАЩs not even the main point. Reasonable people know the masses are not always going to be the most ethical nor the most informed. Meanwhile the truth as any student of history knows is that most of these people wouldnтАЩt have let Ruby Bridges in their school and refuse to engage in honest discourse about the long range effect of wealthy white slave owners in this area. And what kid in middle school is going to risk saying that out loud? Hell, I worry every time I post on socials around here. Courage is only needed when youтАЩre not the majority.
IтАЩm also curious who wanted the survey? It was a distraction. The conversation has been going on for a decade now. We know what happened.
You donтАЩt know me so just know that IтАЩm also fiscally conservative right now and worry about the spending. But this ainтАЩt the issue here. IтАЩm sorry but Continuing to pretend it is is a laughable excuse. We donтАЩt believe in equity and kindness in WJCC the way some say we do. ThatтАЩs been made clear.
It was the committee chosen to study the name change who chose to do a survey. The questions were slanted towards the name change and people chose against it anyway. I'm sure the committee thought it would be a slam dunk and they could follow "the will of the people." They didn't count on good people thinking there are better ways to spend school money. I think that's what it really all came down to.

53% is overwhelming?
Students were 70%. Staff was 62%. Parents were 53% no, with 11% no opinion for 64%. No or don't care was overwhelming
ThatтАЩs so distorted

In what way?
