Toano, Clara Byrd Baker schools are close walk from raided vape shops

The two vape shops raided by James City County police for selling marijuana last week are within a short walk of Toano Middle School and Clara Byrd Baker Elementary School. County Planning Commissioner Vincent Passero says the incident confirms his concerns about these type of stores.

James City County police said they searched the two shops Thursday and seized what they described as “large amounts of illegal THC and marijuana products” that they said were packaged for retail sales. They said they were assisted by agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
