Anti-Trump protest in Williamsburg is loud, but good natured and orderly
Well behaved crowd lines courthouse and blocks of Monticello Ave. Saturday afternoon
A diverse, boisterous but good-humored crowd turned out at the Williamsburg-James City County courthouse Saturday afternoon to protest President Donald Trump as part of a nationwide protest called No Kings Day.
We gave up estimating crowds years ago, but the protesters lined Monticello for blocks on either side of the courthouse, and down the entrance to it. Motorists honked in support as they drove by.
The protest organizers, an advocacy group called Williamsburg JCC Indivisible, called on the crowd to behave and listen to orders from the group’s wardens.
There was no police presence, although we did see some police cruisers and at least one undercover vehicle parked discreetly several blocks away in the New Town shopping center.
The crowd was largely middle aged or older and overwhelmingly white, but there were people of all ages and races present. We spoke to several that had attented earlier protests in Yorktown and Chesapeake.
Here are more pictures and videos of the event:

So highlight the generic protesters but not a mention of the celebration of the 250 anniversary of the Army … Do better or are your writers haters of America?
God Bless America, God Bless the Army. Proudly in DC loving all that our Country represents!
