1,006-home development on former Eastern State land recommended for approval
James City County’s planning commission is recommending the board of supervisors approve a rezoning to allow 1,006 homes on former Eastern State Hospital land off Longhill Road.car
The commission voted 4-2 Wednesday night to recommend the Cardinal Ridge project, despite concerns about the impact on traffic, especially with the government center going up across the street.
Chair Jack Haldeman and Jamestown Representative Frank Polster voted against the recommendation.
